The National Waterways Museum is located in a splendid listed Victorian warehouse at the historic Gloucester Docks. New audio-visual displays, galleries, and interactives bring the history of the waterways to life, providing an informative and fun day out for all the family.

Why not visit the museum in the morning, have lunch in the cafe, and then take to the waters for a cruise along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal? Visit our resident blacksmith in the forge, take part in a sack hauling challenge or attempt to navigate a boat through a lock without sinking it. You can even make a fantasy fortune - or lose it - in our interactive Waterways Age Share dealing Game.

The following facilities are available for visitors with disabilities: car parking spaces for the disabled, guide dogs admitted, wheelchair access to most public areas, toilets for the disabled.
